Branch breaker and protection sizing troubleshooting
Protects the circuit within the equipment and wiring design; its handle position is not a voltage test.
Failure causes
Choose a cause for symptoms, checks that separate it from similar faults, repair direction and verification.
Failed breaker pole or connection →An internal pole or terminal fails to deliver reliable power to the branch.Ground fault or excessive current →A wire or load fault, locked motor or other abnormal demand makes protection operate.Incorrect protection rating →The installed device does not match the unit's permitted branch-protection design.
