Refrigerant circuit and charge troubleshooting
Provides the working fluid and sealed path for heat transfer. Charge diagnosis combines equipment state, airflow, pressure and temperature.
Failure causes
Choose a cause for symptoms, checks that separate it from similar faults, repair direction and verification.
Leak or insufficient refrigerant →A leak or incomplete commissioning charge reduces the refrigerant available to the circuit.Excess refrigerant charge →More refrigerant than the approved system charge changes the circuit's operating balance.Incorrect lineset adjustment or charging stage →The installed piping or operating stage differs from the conditions assumed during charging.Contamination or noncondensables →Unwanted gas, moisture or debris introduced during service can impair operation or damage components.
