What happens
The solar input does not meet the hybrid unit’s specified operating requirements or its connection is interrupted.
Typical symptoms
AC operation works but expected solar contribution is absent, or a PV input fault appears.
Checks that distinguish this cause
Identify the exact hybrid model and compare its approved PV configuration, polarity and input limits with the documented design. Use qualified DC electrical testing and the manufacturer’s isolation method.
What can look similar
Normal sunlight variation or the unit’s input-selection logic can reduce solar contribution without a fault.
Repair direction
Correct the established approved-array or connection problem; do not improvise adapters or string sizes.
Verify the repair
Verify input status and permitted AC/PV operation under known sunlight and demand.
Equipment-specific limits
Photovoltaic circuits can remain energized in daylight after the AC breaker is opened. Qualified personnel must follow the exact isolation, connector and input-limit instructions for every energy source.
