What this is

hvacsim.com is a training simulator for HVAC electrical and refrigerant diagnosis. It is provided for education only. The free tier includes a fixed allowance of training calls and live guided sessions; continued use beyond that allowance requires a subscription.

Accounts

A tech file (account) is optional and free to create. You are responsible for activity under your sign-in, and we may suspend accounts used to abuse the service. You can delete your account at any time from the dashboard; deletion is permanent.

Subscriptions and billing

Paid plans are monthly or yearly subscriptions, or a one-time lifetime purchase, for one technician or for a shop. A shop plan covers a fixed number of technician seats under one bill: the shop owner manages who holds a seat, and a member’s access ends when they leave the shop or the shop’s plan lapses. Prices are shown before you buy. Subscriptions renew automatically until canceled; cancel any time from your dashboard and your plan runs through the period you already paid for. The lifetime plan is a single payment, never renews, and lasts as long as we operate the service. Payments are processed by Stripe — we never see or store your card number. If a charge looks wrong, email us and we will make it right. Beyond billing mistakes, payments already made are non-refundable — canceling stops the next charge and your plan runs to the end of its period. Deleting your account also sets any active subscription to cancel at the end of its paid period — if that automatic step ever fails on the payment processor’s side, contact us and we will end it manually. We may change prices with notice; changes never apply to a period you have already paid for, and a lifetime purchase stays a lifetime purchase.

No certification, no professional advice

Completing calls in this simulator does not certify, license, or qualify anyone to perform HVAC work. It is not professional, safety, or code advice. Licensing, certification and code compliance are governed by your jurisdiction and your employer.

No warranty

The simulator is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Modeled readings are simplified approximations and will differ from real equipment.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, HVACSim is not liable for any injury, property damage, or loss arising from use of, or reliance on, this simulator. You are responsible for your own safety and for working within your training and license.

Intellectual property

The simulator, its circuit and refrigerant models, scenario library and written content are © 2026 HVACSim. All rights reserved. You may use the simulator for personal and internal training. You may not copy, resell, or redistribute the content or code without written permission.

Changes

We may update the simulator or these terms at any time. Continued use after a change means you accept it.
